I&#8217;m Blair Wheeler here at PXG headquarters in Scottsdale, Arizona. We&#8217;ve got our new 0211 Driver on the right. There&#8217;s certainly differences between the two. We&#8217;ve got four interchangeable weights on the Prototype versus a single weight port in the 0211. Really the biggest difference is the versatility between the two. A player looking for more versatility and personalized performance is really going to want our Prototype driver.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With our 0211, we have a simplified head design with that one weight in the corner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Right? It&#8217;s positioned in the back part of the driver and that&#8217;s geared to bring up the MOI, the forgiveness of the club. What that does for the player who needs the forgiveness, makes that sweet spot the size of Texas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How will the PXG Driver Fitting Work?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We&#8217;ll have you test both our 0211 and Prototype. We&#8217;ll see the numbers that we generate from both options. From there, we&#8217;re going to get you in the right stuff. All right?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Blair Wheeler:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Awesome. Awesome.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">PXG Fitting Specialist:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>You ready to tee it up?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Blair Wheeler:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Let&#8217;s do it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Test Driving the 0811 X Prototype<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">PXG Fitting Specialist:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>We&#8217;ll start with our Prototype.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What we&#8217;re going to do is start with a very standard setup. From there, we can make adjustments based off of what we&#8217;re seeing, all flight, spin rate, launch angle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Good swing. We&#8217;ve got ball speed here on the left, and what that&#8217;s telling us is that your ball speed ranges from 141 to 145mph and you\u2019re very consistent within that range. That&#8217;s telling me you hit it very solid in the middle at least five times in a row. That&#8217;s awesome. What I want to really point out is launch angle and spin. Those two areas really affect a driver&#8217;s performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Blair Wheeler:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Right.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">PXG Fitting Specialist:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>What I&#8217;m going to show you on the driver here, the couple of tweaks we&#8217;re going to make. As you look at this driver, you\u2019ll see we have different settings on the hosel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With your swing and this current set up, we\u2019re looking at a launch angle right around 16 to 17 degrees. We would love to get that closer to 15 degrees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Blair Wheeler:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Gotcha.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">PXG Fitting Specialist:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>If we can get it closer to 15, we&#8217;re going to lower your launch, but also lower the spin slightly as well. Okay? So, I&#8217;m going to make a tweak to the hosel. I&#8217;m going to lower loft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Blair Wheeler:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Okay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">PXG Fitting Specialist:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>But then we&#8217;re also going to change the weight pattern in the bottom of the driver.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Blair Wheeler:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Okay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">PXG Fitting Specialist:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>We&#8217;ve got a 15-gram weight in the front setting right now. What we&#8217;re going to do is move that to the heel and that&#8217;s going to give you just a slight draw biased to offset your fade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Blair Wheeler:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Okay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">PXG Fitting Specialist:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The hosel setting that I&#8217;m going to move you to is the small minus which is labelled on the hosel itself. That&#8217;s going to lower the driver by around 0.75 degrees. So instead of the nine-degree option that we have for you, it&#8217;s going to be closer to eight and a quarter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Blair Wheeler:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Okay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">PXG Fitting Specialist:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>All right? We&#8217;re going to lock that in and then we&#8217;re also going to change the weights on here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Again, very easy. It&#8217;s the same tool that moves both the hosel and the weight pattern. What we&#8217;re going to do is move the heavy weight to the heel. That&#8217;s going to allow you to release the driver with a little bit more ease and square up at impact. It eliminates some of that movement that we&#8217;re seeing, left to right.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Good move there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Introducing the all-new 0211 Driver<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">PXG Fitting Specialist:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>What I want to introduce to you next is our 0211 Driver. We&#8217;re going to match the same exact specs as we did with this second iteration, small minus, and with a nine-degree head, that&#8217;s going to bring it down to eight-and-a-quarter-degrees of loft. Okay? Let me get that head switched onto the shaft, and we can take a look at the differences after we make a few swings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Blair Wheeler:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Overall, the average person looking at these two drivers, the Proto versus the 0211, this 0211 would be more for the higher handicap player, maybe?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">PXG Fitting Specialist:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>For players who are looking for simplified technology and adjustability at a more approachable price point.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Blair Wheeler:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Okay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">PXG Fitting Specialist:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>We have that weight in the back for&#8230; Like I said, which brings up the MOI. MOI is just a term for forgiveness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Blair Wheeler:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Yep.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">PXG Fitting Specialist:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>How easy is the club to hit? It&#8217;s going to have the same 460cc head, so the volume is exactly the same as the Prototype Driver, and the crown has that carbon fiber finish on top.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Blair Wheeler:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Yeah. It looks great. Looking down on it. It looks the same. Oh, I got my new driver.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">PXG Fitting Specialist:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>I think we found a winner. All we did was change the head, right?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Blair Wheeler:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Yeah.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">PXG Fitting Specialist:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Taking a look at our pattern, right? We had four in a row, right on the club face. When I talk about the club face with 0211, it&#8217;s got a huge sweet spot. You know, the sweet spot right here, it&#8217;s going to really give you just a little bit more confidence. When you take the confidence, it&#8217;s only going to skyrocket your ability to play.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Blair Wheeler:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Definitely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">PXG Fitting Specialist:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Right? You know, so where we started at a standard setting, we lowered the loft initially. That got us a little bit lower launch with a little bit lower spin, and we saw an 11-yard gain, right? When we put the 0211 head on there with the same configuration, we saw a drop in the backspin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Blair Wheeler:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Yeah.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">PXG Fitting Specialist:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>That&#8217;s all to do with the size of the sweet spot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Blair Wheeler:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Wow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">PXG Fitting Specialist:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Right? Bigger sweet spot, you&#8217;re not going to catch it in the heel as much. That being our miss. We&#8217;re going to catch it right in the middle, and we&#8217;re going to add another 13-yard gain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Blair Wheeler:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>I mean, I just got my new club.
