June is National Women’s Golf Month. To celebrate we are featuring a few of the incredible women who are a part of the PXG Troops. PXG asked Renee the following questions to learn more about why she chose golf, what advice she has for women in the golf industry, and more. Here are her responses:

HOW DID YOU FIRST GET INTO GOLF?

I was first introduced to golf and the rules of the game as a young businesswoman. I worked in sales in the hospitality industry and golf was part of that experience. However, it wasn’t until I met my husband that I started playing golf more regularly. I started out playing 9 holes once a week and slowly began to work my way up to playing 18.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE MEMORY ON THE GOLF COURSE?

My favorite memory on the golf course is making a 20-foot putt for eagle, and some cash, on #17 of The Other Course at Scottsdale National Golf Club.

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE OTHER WOMEN INTERESTED IN THE GOLF INDUSTRY?

The advice that I would give to women in ANY industry: There are no limits to what you can do. If it’s your passion, you will do great things and achieve the highest levels of success.

WHAT IS THE BEST PART OF YOUR JOB?

The best part of my job is having the opportunity to execute on my visions for PXG Apparel Worldwide and see customers respond positively to what we’re doing.

WHAT IS THE BEST CAREER ADVICE YOU’VE RECEIVED AND HOW HAVE YOU APPLIED IT TO YOUR CURRENT POSITION?

“Nothing takes the place of hard work and knowing the job from the bottom up.” In all aspects of my working life and career, I started in that way. For example, my first job was making Coney dogs in my family’s restaurant at age 13, I worked my way up from there.

WHAT WAS YOUR DREAM JOB AS A KID AND WHY?

My dream job was to be in fashion and design apparel. I sketched dresses and silhouettes as a young girl and always had an interest in beautiful things. Fashion, art, and interior design are all interests of mine.

TELL US ONE THING PEOPLE WOULD BE SURPRISED TO KNOW ABOUT YOU.

I am very hands-on with everything that I do. I love creating the overall vision for the company, but no detail is overlooked.

Meet Renee Parsons, President of PXG Apparel and Co-founder of The Bob & Renee Parsons Foundation.
